Hey CObirders, Since we continue to have miserably few birds, I've consolidated the last four days. Our biggest day of the week was Monday, with five newly banded birds. The first Ruby-crowned Kinglet of the season for this station was captured yesterday, and we had two more today. The highlight so far, especially for the kids, was a Western Scrub-jay on Tuesday.
Here are the lists: Monday 10/04 Common Yellowthroat 1 Lincoln Sparrow 1 Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow 2 Mountain White-crowned Sparrow 1 Tuesday 10/05 Western Scrub-jay 1 Song Sparrow 1 House Finch 1 Wednesday 10/06 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 Orange-crowned Warber 1 Wilson's Warbler 1 Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow 1 Thursday 10/07 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2 Wilson's Warbler 1 Song Sparrow 1 So far this week we've also re-captured three feisty Black-capped Chickadees, one of which is not from this season. May tomorrow and our final week bring some birds! -Stephanie -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
