Highlights from Lamar the last two days:
 
Stulp Farm south of Lamar on 7October:
Chestnut-collared Longspur (estimate at least 50, mostly flyovers, some in 
millet field)
Burrowing Owl (at least 6)  (seems kind of late, perhaps a late developing 
brood)
Curve-billed Thrasher (1)  Jane says this bird has been present for a while
Eastern Phoebe (1 juv)
Broad-winged Hawk (1a)
American Pipit (few flyovers)
Grasshopper Sparrow (several)
 
Riverside Cemetery (Lamar east of Main on Maple Ave):
Nashville Warbler (1 female, probably eastern race)  in hackberry on both 7&8Oct
Black-throated Green Warbler (1 male (first year?))  in hackberry on 8Oct
all the action was in the western part of the cemetery, in hackberries mostly , 
somewhat in Am. elms
 
Fairmount Cemetery:
only spent a short time there (got sidetracked by several Fiery Skippers)
 
Willow Creek just north of College Drive:
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Sora
 
Willow Valley Subdivision:
Red-bellied Woodpecker (1 or 2)
Barn Owl (1 flyover about 9pm on 8Oct)
 
Lamar High School windbreak:
Red-bellied Woodpecker (1)
not much else
 
Thurston Reservoir north of Lamar:
Field Sparrow (3 western)
Franklin's Gull (1)
Harris's Sparrow (1 FOS)
White-throated Sparrow (1i)
House Wren (1)  late
American Pipit (1 plus heard at least 2 other flyovers)
Marsh Wren (several, appeared to be a mix of eastern and western subspecies, 
judging by the color: some gray-brown, others very deep rusty brown)
Savannah Sparrow (several, appeared to be more than one subspecies)
Lincoln's Sparrow (at least 10)
