Thanks to every one who has talked about and described this special gull!
Today, I had my chance to observe the Ross's Gull at Cherry Creek Reservoir --
near the dam on a sandbar spit near the west marina (which happens to be one of
my favorite birding spots at CCSP). It was cold and breezy, but surely worth
it.

This morning, the Ross's Gull spent a lot of time on the sandbar spit --
occasionally circling overhead, but subsequently returning to the sandbar spit.
When on the sandbar spit, the Ross's Gull does not mingle with the other gulls
(mostly Ring-billed) so he's not too hard to find.

I'm not a very good photographer compared to some of you who are simply awesome
(and generous in sharing your images -- thank you) -- but I did take some
photographs.

I did spend quite a bit of time searching for the Snow Bunting previously share
here, but to no avail. Happy Thanksgiving!
