Hello Fellow Birders,

This Thanksgiving morning we went out to Lathrop State Park and re-located
Trumpeter Swans

A short while later, as we were walking out the door to go to my sister's
house, I received a phone call from our friends Dave and Marta Moore telling
me they had seen 6 swans at La Veta town lakes...well we just had to grab
the spotting scope and see for ourselves. Quickly drove out, met them at the
lakes and discovered there were a total of 9 Tundra Swans huddled together
on the ice! May not make the rare bird report, but this is first for La
Veta! Thank you Dave and Marta!

Photos can be seen at cobirders.
