A sharpie just dropped over the top of my roof and tore off after a (possibly drunk!) starling. I thought they shot across the yard, but the starling came zooming back with the hawk in hot pursuit. The starling crashed into my window, the hawk nearly did, and the starling sat huddled in the corner with the hawk eyeing it from the apple tree. I think the sharpie was trying to figure out what to do about getting to the bird the corner. After about 5 minutes, it flew in and dropped onto the starling, then started plucking and eating.
