Great day for a CBC in Nunn--NO WIND and sun! We also had nice turn out I think 15-20 people (some newbies). I did two sections here are my results: American Tree Sparrow - 3 Golden Eagle - 3 Eurasian-collared Dove - 5 European Starling - 246 Red-wnged Blackbird - 22 Horned Lark - 72 (I think CBC #s for this species WAY-Y-Y down) Rough-legged Hawk - 5 House Finch - 3 House Sparrow - 34 American KEstrel - 5 Mountain Chickadee - 3 Red-breasted Nuthatch - 1 Northern Flicker - 1 Red-tailed Hawk - 3 Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1 American Robin - 3 Black-billed Magpie - 1 Western Meadowlark - 1 Prairie Falcon - 3 Common Raven - 2 Northern Harrier - 3 Lapland Longspur - 1 Merlin - 1 (looked like Black one) Other notables from elsewhere: Long-eared Owl - 4 I think Great Horned Owls Mammals I saw: Pronghorn - lots Badger - 1 (of 2 seen) Coyote - 1 Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn http://coloradobirder.ning.com/ -- Home of the "Nunn Guy" -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
