All,
John Vanderpoel and I were out cold and early this morning around
Boulder County. Highlights were: Tundra Swan and Black Scoter at
Valmont Res seen from the Legion Park overlook. The scoter is
presumably the same bird that left the now frozen Baseline Res.
There was an adult Glaucous Gull at Prince Lake #1, which is NE
of 287 and Arapahoe behind the shopping center, and a nice Merlin
in a tree over 111th Street about 1/2 mile north of Thomas Res.
Good birding in 2011 to all,
Peter Gent.
