The goose was in the same place at 0715-0800 today. I was able to see its
small bill. It often obscured despite being fully grayish white...just the
color of snow on ice...as it is often behind other geese.
The clubhouse is the large building in the marina. If you are in the
parking lost just to the south or southwest of it, the bird can be seen on
the ice fairly close to shore compared with the thousands (yes) of other
geese. The geese take a while to get up in the morning, before they all
have started moving around. I have not looked later in the day.
