A Ross' goose (by size) was huddled with many cackling and Canada geese in the progressively decreasing open water at the Cherry Creek SP west side marina in the early daylight hours this morning. It took about ten steps and then settled down with its head and bill tucked in. The good news is that, since it walked, it is not a lame duck (goose), and should be around a while longer.
