Roger and I saw this american dipper/water ouzel on the east side of
the S. Platter River yesterday, the 8th. Not only did it tolerate us
paparazzi, but it sang to us! What a sweet bird. The light was flat
and grey so the photos are likewise. The bird was active in the water
for quite a long time.
We also saw a napping great horned owl on the same walk. We came upon
the owl about 10 minutes before the sun went down.
