I'd like to add a few things to this email. For starters, I'm having a lot
of fun being apprentice to Mark - he finds the birds, points them out and
then I get to see them :-)

In addition to the *Dunlin*, *Barrow's Goldeneye*, *Marsh Wren*, & *Long
Tailed Duck* that we saw, here are some other birds I thought were
interesting:

We had a surprise pass-over (twice) from an immature *Black Crowned Night
Heron*, 1 adult and 1 juvenile* Bald Eagle*, a* Prairie Falcon*, a *Rough
Legged Hawk*, saw quite a few *American Pipits*, *Pied-billed Grebes*, a
repeatedly diving *Belted Kingfisher*, and nice views of a beautiful
male *Red-breasted
Merganser* (in the same location as the Long Tailed Duck).
