Today, January 19 around 1 PM, a Northern Goshawk (1st year plumage) flew across US 160 just east of Del Norte, flying low, north to south. In a previous year I also saw one a mile or two farther east, also in winter. I am guessing that they hang out in the bosque along the Rio Grande in winter. Virginia Simmons
