Bill Hackos and I were birding with our grandchildren on Saturday Feb 19 in
Wheatridge Prospect Park ‹ and the Evergreen Audubon Group was also present.
We saw a Barrow¹s Goldeneye on the first lake from the west parking lot
(near Youngfield Road). If you park in the main lot off 44th, take the path
past the Cormorant/Heron roost lake and over the bridge. Stop at the lake on
the right of the bridge. Seemed to also be a Barrow¹s female alongside the
male but difficult to tell.
