Folks,

There were hundreds, maybe 1000+ gulls along the ice shelf in the Platte River
Delta at Chatfield this morning. A first cycle Glaucous Gull was fairly easy
to spot. Another pale, first cycle gull resembled a Kumlien's Iceland Gull.
It was admittedly on the edge of pale Thayer's / dark Iceland but is worth
studying as Iceland Gull has not been recorded in the park. A FOS Franklin's
Gull was flying around the delta in adult breeding plumage. Later in the day,
Joey Kellner reported a large portion of the ice had melted since this morning.
I suppose 70 degrees will do that.
