At 9AM, a Common Loon in breeding plumage was easily visible from the
Cottonwood Marsh Observation area (on the Prairie Loop). It was working
back toward the south end of the reservoir (closer to the area of the east
boat ramp) by the time we left it at about 9:30.

All of the other birds reported by Bob Andrews et al were also able to found
with some number changes and some movement on their parts. To summarize:

South end of reservoir: Semipalmated plover, hanging out with some
killdeer. The Clark's grebe could be scoped closer to the center of the
reservoir from here, westerns appear to have fled the coop.

Cottonwood Creek Observation Area: Avocet continues, one Greater Yellowlegs
popped in while we were there.

Marina spit and beyond: Lesser Black Backed Gull on spit with many other
raucous gulls. Two Franklin's gulls were in a group that was loosely
aggregated in the water near the tower.
