A friend who has seen burrowing owls in the past reported to me that she saw one yesterday afternoon, 4:15 PM, in a field west of the Longmont Museum on Highway 287 and Quail Road, south of Longmont, in Boulder County. She said the owl was standing on a burrow and that she only saw one. -Elena Klaver
