Right on cue; two days earlier than I noticed last year, a pair of Steller's
Jays are collecting twigs off my western honeysuckle shrub (non-native to
Teller County as far as I know, planted by me a few years back). They sure
like to break twigs off that rather live - but currently leafless - shrub!
