Hi all While "out and about" ...
Tern ID photos here: http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/albums/tern-id Be sure to click full-size view, lower right of photo. I'm pretty sure ("famous last words") it's Caspian Tern; equally sized to Ring-billeds nearby; "red' bill though at times I thought was more orange in various sun angles. Photos somewhat convinced me it is more red than orange. Looks more gull-like like if that's an objective characteristic-haha. 35th Avenue Gravel Pond "Caspain Tern" Yellow-rumped Warbler House Wren Glenmere Park Rookery Snowy Egrets arriving (6) Latham Reservori Marsh (WCR 48) Black-necked Stilt - 3 Pretty sure I saw (flying away) Least Bittern (very small bird, light underneath) spook when I was walking along road; flew into cattails closer to reservoir.
