Today we had some pretty stunning birds around Ft. Collins. Even
though it is Easter and I have a hairline fracture in my leg we
continued with our Easter birding tradition.
Duck Lake:
1 Forster's Tern
1 White-faced Ibis
8 Marbled Godwits
3 Pelicans
1 American Avocet
1 Great-tailed Grackle
3-4 Greater Yellowlegs
1 Canvasback
6-7 Cinnamon Teal
Then we went to our favorite marsh at the intersection of Carpenter Rd
and Timberline where we saw:
7 Say's Phoebes
6 Greater Yellowlegs
80+ American Avocet
1 Cinnamon Teal
2 White-crowned Sparrows
3 Barn Swallows
Then we headed off to the Environmental Learning Center we found:
12 White-crowned Sparrows
33 Double-crested Cormorants
6 Blue-winged Teal
14 Barn Swallows
10 Pelicans
2 Say's Phoebes
Finally we went to the River Bend Ponds
1 Osprey
1 Killdeer
3 Greater Yellowlegs
5-8 Green-winged Teal
