Hi All,

I made a quick jaunt out to Last Chance[Highway 71& 36]. Not much happening but
a nice Northern Waterthrush, and lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers [mostly
Audubon's], several Orange-crowned Warbler, and 2 Common Yellowthroat. There
were at least 7 Lark Sparrow, and 1, White-crowned Sparrow,'Gambelii', and 1,
'Mountain' White-crowned Sparrow. 1, Brown Thrasher singing away, 1, Say's
Phoebe, 3, American Goldfinch, 1, House Wren, and the local residents [although
not all are present yet].

I wanted to see how high the water was at Prewitt Reservoir so I dashed out
there. Since I saw shorebirds at the pond right off of highway 6,[ pond is
opposite to county rd. 7 and just east of it], I stopped to check this area
before Prewitt. There was 1, Solitary Sandpiper, many Wilson's Phalarope, 13
Semipalmated Sandpiper, 11, Long-billed Dowitdher, 15, White-faced Ibis, 8,
Forster's Tern, and many puddle ducks.

Prewitt Reservoir is high with no shoreline. Fortunately where I looked at the
water near the boat launch, there was a nice beautiful male Baltimore Oriole. I
saw no other Orioles there. That was it for my birding at Prewitt since I had
to get home.

Happy Birding!
