Mid-morning this morning, Van Truan and I saw a white morph REDDISH EGRET at Huerfano Reservoir in eastern Pueblo County. We saw it dancing and canopy feeding while we were at Bush Road (which is the south side of the lake). The bird was along the shore in the southeast corner of the lake for 15 minutes or more, and then it flew west along the south shore and out of site. We don't think the bird left the lake, just went out of site. This is a private lake (unless you have permission to walk in), so viewing is only from Bush Road on the South Side and Fields Road on North Side. This lake is south of Vineland, taking 40th Lane to Bush or Fields Roads. This would be only the 2nd Pueblo County Record, and a new Pueblo County bird for both of us!
