Birders, I got to spend about 45 min at Last Chance this morning before joining the car club at High Plains Raceway. There is quite a bit of water in the pond and near the bridge. The best bird was a Barn Owl, being harassed by just about everything. Also:
Hermit Thrush Veery Swainson's Thrush Orchard Oriole Bullock's Oriole Yellow Warbler (only warbler as I couldn't find the usual resident Yellowthroat) Lincoln's Sparrow Common Nighthawk that flew in to roost while I was there and a call similar to a Great Crested Flycatcher but it moved to the east before I could get a look at it. and the rest was the usual suspects.
