Finally - this morning (about 3-4 weeks late) I had 3 Hammond's Flycatchers
singing in the ponderosa woodlands along FR 339 in Teller County - from hwy
67 to the creek. Easily found by listening for their song while walking
(jogging in this case) along the road. Most vociferous in the morning hours.
Usually silent during mid-day and then sparsely singing again in the
evening.

Also - oddly, one singing Rock Wren in the woods, completely out of habitat.

I have consistently seen, over the last couple weeks, a western scrub-jay
hanging out with a group of 4-5 steller's jays at FR339 and Trout Creek.
Doesn't seem to be any sign of a mix in this bird; but perhaps it could be
part of a breeding pair going forward.

Western wood-pewees have increased in number significantly in the past few
days.

I continue to have dozens of evening grosbeaks at my feeders continuously
throughout the day.
