At the Sandstone Ranch District Park in Longmont, a Cassin’s Sparrow has been singing on territory, easily heard from the trailhead Parking Area (sometimes perched on the wire fence just east of the parking lot). I saw and heard it both Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12. The park is reached from Hwy 119 a couple miles west of I25, just south of the large soccer/sports complex.
