I have a second-hand report (from the wife of the spotter) from a Californian, ex-Coloadan, who says that while driving north on I-25, near Tomah Road (south of Castle Rock) he saw a Brown Pelican, flying North. His wife says that he "honed his freeway birding skills commuting" in southern California, including pelicans. Headed for Chatfield? Cherry Creek Reservoir? Walker Pit? Or maybe never to be seen again.
