Just had a mockingbird in Lac Amora Park off Miramonte, west of 287. I think that's the first time I have seen one near my yard.
I'd like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for being able to participate in this list and learn more about birds in Colorado. I'm heading off on a one-year trip around the western United States, so I'll be unsubscribing soon. I will definitely miss this list. I have a couple of requests. First, how do I find lists like this in other states? Second, I'd like to look for mountain plovers on my way to Kansas City and then up to Yellowstone via Nebraska. I know that one was just sighted near my house in Broomfield, and I'll try to find time to look for it, but if you know of other sites near I-70 heading east, or on the way from KC to Wyoming, I would love to hear about them. Unfortunately, I won't have time to go northeast to Pawnee again. Thanks again, and good birding, Beth Partin -- Restoration Nation: An Economy That Restores <http://restorationnation.org> Beth at Home and Abroad <http://bethpartin.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
