Over the past week I have been birding Hinsdale and Gunnison County.
On two successive days I saw 4 Gunnison Sage-Grouse on the Sappinero
Cut-off Road 26 between mile 6 and 7.
My question is: Because of their location are these birds by
definition Gunnison Sage-grouse or could they be Greater Sage-grouse.
I also saw and heard lots of Brewers Sparrows in the same sagebrush
uplands
