Hello, Birders.

Just a quick note here to let folks know that I heard 7 Chipping Sparrow flight
calls during 15 minutes of listening around 4:00 a.m. this morning, Monday,
July 18th. Location was Greenlee Preserve (Boulder County), where the species
does not breed; these birds were nocturnal migrants heading to their molting
grounds on the Eastern Plains.

"seen?"

Love that sound. So evocative. So, hm, autumnal. Skies perfectly clear, bright
moon, no wind at all.
