CO birders :
Between 8:30 and 9:30 AM our group of 4 birders were rewarded with 4
fly byes and one close perched view of the female type Least Bittern at
Holcim Marsh Wetlands , Fremont County from the south trail. Also of note was
a Peregrine Falcon , a "brown " Willow Flycatcher and 2 Black Phoebes .
On return to COS via Big J reservoir ( El Paso ) , we noted a group of
15 Red-necked Phalaropes plus the usual waterfowl and gulls . Just a few
other shorebirds seen , Spotted Sandpiper and Baird's .
