Leisurely banding in terms of total birds today, which gave us time to savor
our rarities - female Chestnut-sided and Blackpoll Warblers.  Totals were 30
new captures, 15 species:

Dusky Flycatcher          1

Cassins Vireo               1 (FOS)

Black-capped Chickadee         1 return, banded 2010

House Wren                 2 new, 1 return banded 2010

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher  1 (FOS)

Swainson's Thrush        1 (FOS)

Orange-crowned Warbler         1

Yellow Warbler            6

Chestnut-sided Warbler            1 (FOS)

Blackpoll Warbler        1 (FOS)

Common Yellowthroat  1

Wilson's Warbler         5

Chipping Sparrow        4

Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow 1(FOS)

 

Open tomorrow and Tues, closed Wed, then open daily the rest of the week and
weekend.
