Katrina Stowasser and I birded eastern Colorado for most of the day (9/7). Here are the highlights:
Last Chance (Washington) Canada Warbler - 1 previously reported. Mississippi Kite - 1 juvenile Northern Cardinal - 1 female Great Crested Flycatcher - 1 Ovenbird - 2 American Redstart - 10 Northern Waterthrush - 1 Willow Flycatcher - 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch - 1 Akron Golf Course (Washington) Worm-eating Warbler - 1, my 37th species of warbler this year in CO and Katrina's 34th for the year. Red-naped Sapsucker - 1 Town of Akron (Washington) Great Crested Flycatcher - 1 Baltimore Oriole - 1 adult male Jumbo Reservoir (Logan/Sedgwick) DEAD, the only shorebirds I could find was Killdeer, Spotted Sandpiper, and American Avocets. Snow Goose - 1 (Logan) Common Tern 2 (Sedgwick) Skipped Prewitt to get to work on time, which left 25 minutes walking around Crow Valley.
