Today was our first day of fall banding at Ridgway State Park. After a long day of rain yesterday, it was a cool, damp morning. Birds were moderately active in the area, but the capture rate was low. That gave us a chance to make adjustments, and it provided time for the nets to dry out. There was a good turnout of volunteers preparing for another season of education programs. We banded 13 new birds today and 0 recaptures:
Olive-sided Flycatcher 1 Swainson's Thrush 1 Gray Catbird 2 MacGillivray's Warbler 1 Wilson's Warbler 3 Lazuli Bunting 4 Indigo Bunting 1 Amber Carver Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory Ridgway State Park -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
