The birds were out and active on this cool, grey morning - Banded 51, and
caught 1 banded in 2010 and 16 banded sometime in the last week or so.  Bird
of the Day was an immature Nashville Warbler.  Brings our warbler species
for the season to 16, compared to 11 total last year.  Wilson's Warblers are
still lagging, but other warblers seem to be keeping pace.  An unending
supply of young Chipping Sparrows, coming through in large flocks.  Here is
the day's breakdown for the 52 birds caught today for the first time this
year:

Open 6 days a week, weather permitting, through mid-October.  Next day off
is Friday, 9/23.
