As you can tell from earlier postings, it was a pretty good day to be at
Barr Lake. Black-throated Blue Warbler and Cassin's Kingbird (found by
Glenn and Larry) and a Sage Thrasher (found by Ira) in the bush, and a
Philadelphia Vireo and recap Tennessee Warbler in the hand, plus a variety
of other species to share with Audubon's new Master Birder class and other
visitors.

Here's the day's rundown of the 36 new bandings (also had 21 recaps that had
been banded in recent days):

Philadelphia Vireo 1 (FOS)

House Wren 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1

Orange-crowned Warbler 5

Wilson's Warbler 6

Spotted Towhee 1 (FOS)

Chipping Sparrow 18

Lincoln's Sparrow 1

White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1

Oregon Junco 1 (FOS)

We are open tomorrow (Sun, 9/25), closed Mon, then open daily through the
next weekend. Days off during the first 2 weeks in Oct TBA.
