This morning (10/01) I saw a Steller's Jay in Pueblo, at the Valco Ponds
parking lot.  On 9/29 Van Truan saw a Western Scrub-Jay at John Martin
Reservoir, Bent County and on that same date I saw two Blue Jays at 9,050 feet
in elevation at my family's cabin in Custer County.  Interestingly, I saw a
Western Scrub-Jay at my cabin on 9/22.  At one time on 9/29, there were 15
Steller's Jays eating on corn and birdseed at my cabin at the same time as the
two Blue Jays.  It seems like there must be a lack of food for the jays right
now, so expect a lot more of them in odd areas this fall and winter.
