Birders, This morning on our monthly bird walk we had >30 Sandhill Cranes roosting on the west side of the lake. They took off and headed south about 10 am. We got home to Golden about 12:15 just in time to have 35 - 40 more go over the house, circle and gain altitude and move off to the SW.
Also at Barr Lake today were 6 Bald Eagles (1 ad). I couldn't find them again at 11 am. Lots of Ruddy's have arrived as well as some Redheads and Ring-necked Ducks.
