CO birders :

A happy group of birders from Aiken Audubon got some great views and
photographs of an adult Le Conte's Sparrow at Chico Basin Ranch ( fee area )
this morning. It was located in the same wet sedge meadow below the Upper
Twin Ponds dam wall that Bill Maynard had his juvenile Le Conte's and Sedge
Wren earlier this fall . flushed from the sedge meadow it spent several
minutes in a Russian Olive . Initially some thoughts that this could be a
Nelson's but the pale not gray median stripe and lack of a clear boundary
between the upper buffy breast and white lower belly clinched it as a LCSP.

Not much else of note , lots of sparrows in the wet brushy area south of
the banding station and a glimpse of a juvenile Harris Sparrow for some at
the HQ settling pond.
