I had a fly-over gull this afternoon at the water tank NE of Windsor Res that
APPEARED to be a Thayer's due to the appearance of the primaries. I could not
make out any other helpful field marks on the bird. It was mixed in with
Ring-billeds, so no Herring to compare it to. (Plenty of Herrings on the Res
though.) I'd guess that the odds are in favor of it being a pale Herring here,
but I'm going out on a limb to post here in case anyone is in the area soon to
check. Viewing here is very difficult due to access issues, but the N side and
a vacant lot in the development on the W side give the best views of the gulls.
(Still, distances are challenging!)

Three male (1 ad., 2 imm.?) Yellow-headed Blackbirds were on WCR 18, just E of
WCR 53.

Stopped by Grandview Cemetery around 6 pm to search for the thrush, with no
luck. One Common Nighthawk and Red-breasted Nuthatch seemed possibly
interesting (?).

Noticing that folks are posting about Sandhill Cranes... I've encountered
numerous flocks every day over the past week in NE CO. It has also been
striking me that I'm finding more Ruby-crowned Kinglet individuals than
warblers (something I'm not used to!).
