Many of the previously reported rare birds in the Pueblo area, were around
today.  I didn't see either of the male Northern Cardinals, other than that, I
saw everything else pretty much.

Hooded Warbler - 1 male, in the eastern part of the Valco Ponds parking lot in
early morning, not sure where it goes the rest of the day.
White-throated Sparrow - 2 (1 adult, 1 immature), west of Valco Ponds parking
lot, near the bluff.
Scarlet Tanager - 1 female, west of Valco Ponds parking lot, between the bluff
and the river.
Townsend's Warbler - 1 female/immature, west of Valco Ponds parking lot, near
the river.
Long-tailed Jaeger - 1 light morph juvenile, looking west from the State
Wildlife Area, on the North West side of Pueblo Reservoir
Red-necked Grebe - 1, looking west from the State Wildlife Area, on the North
West side of Pueblo Reservoir
Common Loon - 1, looking west from the State Wildlife Area, on the North West
side of Pueblo Reservoir

All of these birds were seen by other birders too.

With the up-coming snow storm and cold weather mid-week, who knows what will be
around for next Saturday's Aiken/Arkansas Velley Audubon birding trip around
Pueblo.  Hopefully there will be something around still.
