Greetings...

An unusual robin stopped briefly at our birdbath this afternoon, a break from 
the normal ones who line up for a bath.  I hesitate to name its condition so as 
not to reinstitute a discussion of the proper terminology for a 
pigment-deprived creature.  It didn't stay long enough for a photo.  Its breast 
was snow white except for the normal dark streaking below the chin and a smear 
of chestnut lower down.  Its wings were blotchy gray and white, perhaps with 
more white than gray. The other robins were quick to chase it away.
