The past few days despite long days at work I also made some time to go birding. I have made quite a few stops, but most didn't have much of interest. Here are the interesting birds:
Yesterday (10/22) Great Western Reservoir (Broomfield County) Red-necked Grebe - 1 Long-billed Dowitcher - 2 Timnath Reservoir, dusk (Larimer County) Thayer's Gull - 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull - 3 Rusty Blackbird - 1, I watched it fly off, but there is a very large blackbird roost along the county line road on the east side of the reservoir and I wouldn't be surprised if it circled back to the roost. Today (10/23) Ish Reservoir (Larimer / Boulder Counties) Pomarine Jaeger (probable, I am still trying to do some research to separate Pomarine and Parasitic) - 1, As I mentioned in an earlier quick post this morning we watched it fly south. It was about 3/4 of a mile away, so it was difficult to see most of the field marks. Timnath Reservoir (Larimer County) Sanderling - 2 (present for about a week now) Lesser Black-backed Gull - 2 Cole Wild Loveland -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
