Today I decided to try my luck again at Gilpin County, mostly looking for ducks 
(which was almost duckless) and European Starling (I missed it yet again, it is 
the only county I still need to see it in). I then worked my way back to 
Loveland. Here are the interesting birds I saw along the way:

Gilpin County
 Los Lagos #3
   Lewis's Woodpecker - 1, the first bird of the day in Gilpin
  
 Town of Rollinsville
   Northern Shrike - 1
   Clark's Nutcracker - Flock of 78 harrassing the shrike
   Gray Jay - 1, with the Nutcrackers
   Evening Grosbeak - 26
   Brown-capped Rosy-Finch - 1

 Lump Gulch Road
   White-winged Crossbill - 1
   Evening Grosbeak - 4
   Red Crossbill - 5, flyover

 Spring Creek Reservoir 
   Green-winged Teal - 2 flying off as I pulled up to the lake
   Horned Lark - 3

 119 heading east from Central City / Blackhawk
   American Tree Sparrow - 1, in with a flock of Juncos

Boulder County 
 Boulder Reservoir (all birds previously reported)
   Black Scoter - 4 (female / immature)
   Surf Scoter - 1 (female / immature)
   Arctic Tern - 1
   Common Garter Snake - 1 dead
  
Larimer County 
 Dry Creek Reservoir 
   Surf Scoter - 2 (female / immature), they were not together
