On my way back to boulder today I birded Big Johnson and Cherry Creek Reservoirs. Highlights were a single female/immature Surf Scoter at Big Johnson and just thirty minutes ago from the west side of Cherry Creek Res there was a Pacific Loon amoung the many Western Grebes. Viewing was difficult due to wind and distance and now that I am on the other side of the reservoir I can't relocate the bird. The bird was in the middle of the res and did not dive as I watched it for around 20 minutes. Hopefully others can find the bird. Good birding.
