COBirders:

As Bob Brown reported, Michael Kiessig and I joined by Joe Roller and Bob saw the Mew Gull, 5 Common Loons, and a Pacific Loon from the sandspit this morning. After that we spread out to various parts of Chatfield, and none of us were able to locate the Red-necked Grebe seen yesterday. While Michael & I were walking to the Handicapped Fishing Area, we observed a Yellow-shafted Flicker, several Brewer's Sparrows, some American Tree Sparrows, a first winter White-crowned Sparrow and a small flock of Dark-eyed Juncos (mostly Pink-sided). The Mew Gull, which was sitting on the shore among numerous Ring- billed Gulls, several California and a Herring Gull, flew away before we left the sandspit about 10:00 A.M.
