Alamosa County:
--An ad Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Rawinski at San Luis
Lake on October 25.  Peterson relocated the gull on October 30.

Arapahoe County:
--A RED-THROATED LOON was reported by Kilpatrick at Cherry Creek SP on
October 28.  Walbek refound the RED-THROATED LOON at Cherry Creek on October 29.
--An ad MEW GULL was reported by Beltz on the logs at the marina at
Cherry Creek SP on November 3.

Bent County:
--Duane Nelson found a "red: Fox Sparrow and 3 Swamp Sparrows on the N
side of the RR tracks, N of CR FF.5 and 2 miles east of CR 13.5 on
November 3.

Boulder County:
--Nick Moore spotted a tern at Boulder Reservoir on October 18, which
Nunes confirmed is a juv ARCTIC TERN.  On October 30, Arnold reported that
the ARCTIC TERN continues to feed around Boulder Reservoir and rest in
the NW cove.
--2 Pacific Loons were reported by Hutchinson at Boulder Reservoir on
October 29.

Costilla County:
--An American Golden-Plover was reported by Peterson at Smith
Reservoir on October 30.

Denver County:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Tina Jones on Marston Reservoir on November 2.

El Paso County:
--A White-winged Scoter was reported by Peterson at Prospect Lake in
Memorial Park on November 2.  Directions:  Take exit 141/Cimarron St
from I-25, go east to where it "T"s with Wasatch.  Turn Left/north and
go 1 block to Costilla and turn right/east to Lake and Park.
--An ad Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Peterson at Big
Johnson on November 2.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--At Chatfield State Park on October 30, Walbek reported a Pacific
Loon, Red-necked Grebe and ad MEW GULL.  The gull was on the sandspit
and the loon and grebe were viewed from the end of the sandspit looking
NE.  On October 31, Brown reported the Pacific Loon and MEW GULL
remained visible from the sandspit.

Huerfano County:
--A Harris's Sparrow visited the Nelder yard in La Veta on November 2.
 On November 3, a White-throated Sparrow joined the Harris's Sparrow
in the Nelder yard.   Contact [email protected] for more

Jefferson County:
--Henwood found a GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW at Red Rocks Trading Post on
November 3.

Larimer County:
--A f Northern Parula was reported by Seibel in downtown Estes Park on
October 30.  It was along a creek behind a row of restaurants that
included Subway and Poppy's Pizza.

Park County:
--3 Black Scoters (2f, 1imm m) were reported by Kellner at Eleven Mile
Reservoir on October 30
--At Spinney Mountain Reservoir, Kellner reported 1 imm Surf Scoter
and 1 imm White-winged Scoter on October 30.

Pueblo County:
--2 imm PINE WARBLERS (1m, 1f) were reported by Percival at Pueblo
City Park on November 3.
--At Pueblo Reservoir on November 3, Percival reported 1 Long-tailed
Duck, 1 Red-throated Loon, 2 Pacific Loons, and 1 Red-necked Grebe.
The f Long-tailed Duck was on the SE side, the Red-throated Loon was
between the Sailboard Launching Area and the SE side, the Pacific
Loons and Red-necked Grebe were off West Fishing Road.

Summit County:
--1 m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Kellner on a large pond S of
the Blue River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Silverthorne on October
30.

Weld County:
--A good number of Lapland Longspurs were reported by Lefko at CR 127
& Hwy 77 and at the CR 75 Playas on October 31.  On November 2, Lefko
reported Lapland Longspurs on CR 100 between CR 23 and CR 27.
--A f Red-bellied Woodpecker and flyover Lapland Longspur were
reported by Leatherman at Crow Valley CG on October 31.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 5 will be Southwest Denver
Lakes led by Lynn Willcockson (303-757-7000).  Meet the leader at 0830
at Belmar Historic Park in Lakewood.  From Wadsworth and Ohio turn
west on Ohio and go 2 blocks straight into Irongate parking.  Will
carpool from there.  Bring water, snacks, scopes.  Will bird unitl
around noon.  Please call the leader if planning to attend.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, November 6 will be the Mountain Scoter
Trip led by Joey Kellner (303-978-1748).  Call the leader to register
and arrange a meeting place.  State Parks pass required.  This is an
all day trip so bring lunch, water, scopes and radios if you them
them.  WARNING:  Daylight Savings Times ends so be sure to reset your
clocks before you go to bed.
