On a Denver Audubon trip to Castlewood Canyon State Park this morning, we
counted 850 gulls flying south-ish; we probably missed many more. They had two
routes, one on the east side of Cherry Creek and one on the west side. Their
distance precluded trying to separate others from the Ring-billeds.

The only place I can think of as a source is Cherry Creek Reservoir State Park.
Bob Rozinski tells me that the reservoir level has gone up substantially, and
consumed the inlet spit, and that he saw fewer gulls this morning than have
attended the reservoir recently.

The only destination I could think of for this quantity: Pueblo Reservoir.

Pueblans: has your gull population soared today?
