--A COMMON GROUND-DOVE was reported by Mlodinow and Smart near

Directions: Take I-76 to US-385. Go n. towards Julesburg. There are
two bridges over the river. Between these, there is a road to the east
and to the west. The road to the west leads to an area closed due to
deer hunting. The road to the east leads to an island of land between
the two parts of the river. It is mostly sandy soil with a few trees,
much sparse grass, and a few dense bushes. There are several ponds and
other areas where birds can drink.

--A BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was reported by Leatherman on private
property in Greeley on November 19 and was heard as recently as Nov.
26 by Mlodinow. The bird is foraging in the backyard of the home of
Ruth and Milton Dick, 2125 15th Street. This address is at the
junction of 15th STREET, and 22nd AVENUE about a block northwest of
the Northern Colorado Medical Center near the UNC campus and not far
from Glenmere Park. The bird is viewable from the alley on the north
side of the house. The pines somewhat overtop the alley and if you
park on 22nd or just into the alley e of 22nd Ave. at the northwest
corner of their backyard, you may be able to view the bird from your
car. It also comes down out of the pine trees and has been seen on
several occasions in a grape vine heavily-laden with fruit growing on
a low fence on the north side of the alley opposite the northeast
corner of the Dick's back fence. This grape vine would also be
viewable from a car parked in the alley just e of 22nd. Some of the
pertinent neighbors on the north side of the alley north of the Dick's
yard know about the bird and are reservedly OK with visitors. Visitors
should be respectful of all concerned in this neighborhood, not go in
any backyards, not block the alley, or not block access to parking
from the alley by these neighbors to the north.
--A Long-tailed Duck (juv) was reported by Leatherman at Union
Reservoir on November 25 and seen again on November 26 by Mlodiow.
