Glenn Walbek and I looked around a bit this morning in Pueblo. The only gull of note this morning at the tires at the South Shore Marina was the adult GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL. West of the Valco Ponds parking lot, in the flock of White-crowned Sparrows, Glenn picked out the young HARRIS'S SPARROW. Also, there was a Say's Phoebe here, and a juvenile Northern Shrike in the Valco Ponds parking lot. That was all we saw of note.
The State Parks police appear to be enforcing the 20 MPH speed limit, below the dam at Pueblo Reservoir, as several cars were seen being pulled over in this area today. Most of the rest of the park is 35 MPH, except for one area that is 45 MPH on the north side. It is also 20 MPH near both entrance gates at the North side and South side.
