Birding was excellent this morning at Chatfield State Park.... Brant – 2, right below Heron Overlook platform, still there through 10:30am Lapland Longspur – 2, at model airplane field, with dozens of Horned Larks Glaucous Gull – 1, probable 1st winter, near north boat ramp at west end of dam Lesser Black-backed Gull – 1, 1st winter juvenile, south marina sandspit Red-breasted Merganser – 1, out on the lake amongst all the Commons, probably more of them out there
Other notables.....
