Arapahoe County:
--An ad m PINE WARBLER was reported by Becky Campbell coming to her
suet feeder in the backyard on December 8.  Sanders reported on
December 14 that the PINE WARBLER continues to visit ther suet
feeder.   Please contact Campbell at 303-771-0897.

Boulder County:
--A Winter Wren was reported by Heinrich on December 9 along Boulder
Creek west of 75th.  It was feeding in one of the sewage treatment
plant outlets.
--A first winter White-throated Sparrow was reported by Boswell along
Boulder Creek west of 75th on December 10.
--2 Thayer's Gulls (1 1-st cyc, 1 3-rd cyc) were reported by Kaempfer
at Valmont Reservoir on December 11.

Delta County:
--A young TUNDRA SWAN was reported by Garrison around 10am on December
11 on ice at a pond across from Escalante SWA but was gone when he
returned later.  On December 13, Garrison reported that the swan was back.

Denver County:
--A female type Long-Tailed Duck was reported by Wuerthele at Duck
Lake in City Park on November 22 and was relocated by Wuerthele on December 7.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--At Chatfield State Park:
--2 "pale-bellied" Atlantic BRANT were reported by Komar at Chatfield in the SW
corner on November 30.   On December  14, Kibbe reported that the BRANT
were at the mouth of Plum Creek.

El Paso County:
--A Long-tailed Duck was reported by Driscoll on a lake by I-25 and S
Circle Drive on December 10.  On December 12, Enbody reported that the
Long-tailed Duck continues at the Doubletree Hotel Pond.

Jefferson County:
--Bob Spencer reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW continues at Red
Rocks Trading Post at least through December 10.
--At Bear Creek Lake Park, Henwood reported 2 Harris's Sparrows (1 ad,
1 1-st yr) on December 5.   On December 13, Henwood relocated the juv
Harris's Sparrow at Bear Creek Lake Park.
--A male VARIED THRUSH was reported by Chavez on the west side of
C-470 along Bear Creek on December 11.  If looking for this bird, park
in the small parking area on Soda Lakes Road on the left side of
Morrison Road, west of C-470.

Larimer County:
--An ad basic RED-THROATED LOON was reported by Leatherman at Rawhide Power
Plant on December 2 and 3.  Chavez reported on December 10 that the
RED-THROATED LOON continues at Rawhide Power Plant.
--A (juv) TRUMPETER SWAN was reported by Bol and Leatherman at Dixon
Reservoir on November 19.  On December 8, Bruening reported a juv
TRUMPETER SWAN at City Park Lake in Fort Collins and Komar reported on
December 9 that the swan is on the N side of Sheldon Lake at Fort
Collins City Park.
--On December 9 at Lake Loveland, Komar reported 6 juv Thayer's Gulls,
6 (2 1-st cyc, 1 2-nd cyc, 1 3-rd cyc, 2ad) Lesser Black-backed Gulls,
4 1-st cyc Glaucous Gulls and 1 1-st cyc
ICELAND GULL.   On December 10 at Lake Loveland, Komar reported 1
Glaucous Gull, 3 Thayer's Gulls, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and 1
ICELAND GULL.  On December 11 at Lake Loveland, Komar reported 3
Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1 ad 1 3-rd cyc, 1 2-nd cyc), 2 Thayer's
Gulls (juv), 2 Glaucous Gulls (juv) plus 3 mystery gulls.

Prowers County:
--A juv YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported by Leatherman on
December 10 in a Scots Pine at 605 Willow Valley Drive which is east
of Willow Creek Park.  The tree and sapsucker are viewable from the
street.

Christmas Counts start on December 14.  Here are some of the early counts:
